The IFF Central Board appointed the Swiss Floorball Association as organiser of the Men’s World Floorball Championships 2022 in December 2018. The decision was announced during the General Assembly 2018.
The event will be played between 5.11 – 13.11.2022. The time frame is different than usually, due to the fact that the Football World Cup will be played in December 2022.
– We are very happy after 2012 to have the floorball family back in Zürich. The WFC in Prague has set the mark and we take the challenge to top this. We expect the WFC 2022 to boost the overall development of floorball and the event to be a great success, said Mr. Michael Zoss, Secretary General of the Swiss Floorball Association.
The previous time that Switzerland hosted the Men’s WFC was in 2012 when the WFC was played in Bern and Zurich (photo from WFC 2012).
