Floorball Deutschland today announced the line-up for the World Floorball Championships 2022 in Switzerland. Striking is the large proportion of players with already three or more top level Championships in the bag.
The team of the German head coach Martin Brückner travels to Switzerland with a lot of WFC experience. Of the 20 players called up, eight have already played in three or more WFCs. One of the most experienced players is defender Tim Böttcher, who has already played six times for Germany at a World Floorball Championship (2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020). No other player called up so far can draw on so much WFC routine.
Switzerland is not an unknown place for some players of the German team. Flemming Kühl (HC Rychenberg), Jan Lemke (UHC Uster), Tino von Pritzbuer (UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen) and Niklas Rutz (HC Rychenberg) play in the Swiss league.
The team had the last big main rehearsal last weekend at the “6 Nations Floorball Challenge” in Weissenfeld (DE). In almost exactly this composition Germany won three of five games.
