Almost half of the players in the Polish squad were born after 2000. Nevertheless, the team of head coach Jan Holovka does not lack experience.
At first glance, head coach Jan Holovka’s squad looks very young and inexperienced. 9 out of 20 players were born in 2000 or later. Among the oldest are Antoniak and Chlebda, born in 1991, the latter currently playing for UHC Pfannenstil in Switzerland. The youngest is Kacper Szalanski, who is only 16 years old. Nevertheless, one should not be deceived by the young average age of the team. Various players played not only the U19 World Floorball Championship in 2021, but also the top level WFC in Helsinki just a few months later, and they are in the lineup again now.
For Lucas Dahlström, who lives in Sweden, the WFC 2022 will be his first appearance in the Polish national team. For his 5 years older brother Alexander it is already the third World Floorball Championship edition.
